Dylan's 35 opening sequence analysis
This is my powerpoint researching and analysing about 35 different film opening sequences. I have reported what i like and don't like based on; camera shots/filming; mise-en-scenè; music; titles; editing. We will have to consider all these features of films to create an interesting but original opening sequence. The genre we have chosen for our film is a Romance, so i studied an extra 10 romance films to build knowledge on what conventions an opening to a Romance will consist of. From the research, all 4 members of our group have collected a gathering of ideas, which we contributed to construct our opening sequence.

ReplyDeleteSome terrific analysis here Dylan, with lots of different reflections on codes and conventions
ReplyDeleteTarget: 1) Change the name so that it reflects the exact number of texts you have analysed- keep your examiner fully aware of how hard you've worked.
2) Some text has shifted after the upload- Kill Bill for example
3) Always check sources fully- Juno is packed with titles- you have confused it with the music video for the track: http://www.artofthetitle.com/2008/04/15/juno/
