Our Preliminary Task

In preparation for the main task, we completed a preliminary task so we could experiment with the following techniques and skills to help us gain confidence to create our main task:
-Filming
-Editing
-Camera shots
-Planning skills and group work
Our preliminary task had to consist of filming and editing a character opening a door, going into the room and engaging in a conversation with an additional character sitting opposite. We had to include several filming techniques such as match-on-action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule. We successfully completed the task in a short period of time, so it will give us an insight into how long it will take and what type of things we will need to do in order to achieve finishing our main task to a high standard.
