This is my opening sequence analysis. I analysed different genres of films to gather ideas for the opening sequence we were all going to make. We all decided on a romance genre, and so to make sure that I understood this genre I made sure that I analysed extra romance films. The kind of information I was looking for was the different types of shots and the way they were being used; what things were varied through different genres. The pictures that I have used are thanks to Google Images, and the links are thanks to youtube.
I have taken into account Mrs Mills' comments and updated my powerpoint.
Well done Jade, you have analysed a good range of opening sequences and focused on titles, styles and their effects. Target: Needs to be reloaded with changes:
ReplyDelete1) Why repeat all the text on slide 2?
2)Avoid personal comments without reason- ‘I didn’t really like it as much...’ also, you risk sounding arrogant by making suggestions about what film directors should have done- take such comments out since it’s not supposed to be a ‘what could they do better ‘ exercise, it’s supposed to be a‘what did they do? exercise.

ReplyDeleteThis is a real improvement on the first draft, excellent work.
