This is the first design that I have created based on an Empire magazine. I thought that Empire is a well known magazine that would help endorse our film, and demonstrate how our film can adapt across the media. I took a picture and cut it out from the background using Corel PaintShop photo pro x3, and placed it where I thought looked good, on the right hand side. According to the rule of thirds, this is where the eye is drawn to first. The flower decorations, the bar code and 'Empire' title were taken from 'Google images' and I think that the design matches the film genre. I downloaded most of the fonts after carefully choosing which ones would suit the film. The colours of the font and the general colour scheme match in with the whole underlying theme of the film, the sea. Being the first design that I created, I don't think that it fits in with our other poster designs. However I think that it might look good as the cover of a teen magazine or something like that.
Good work Jade, an effective draft cover and another method of attracting your target audience to your production using cross media promotion. Well done.
